In case you're wondering, I'm alive and well and home. :) Balticon was cool'n'fun ... you can read Laurie's mini-report here ... I'll probably write up some notes tomorrow. I picked up some cool loot, including an almost-matched pair of shortswords of "elvish" design (almost-matched because some non-elf hack apparently broke the grip of one and reassembled it with the counterweight backwards) for a very reasonable price. I also was complemented on my hat by Peter S. Beagle (yes, the one who wrote The Last Unicorn) and had a door held for me by Ann Crispin, which is a strange kind of thrill. ;)
I didn't get to do much schmoozing with partiallyclips because almost every time I wasn't in a panel, he was, apparently -- I got to see more of Dick "Captain 20" Dyszel than Rob Balder. (Rob did invited me to a room party, but I was feeling so beat Saturday night that I woulda just fallen asleep in the corner anyway.)
Anyway, it was fun, and now I'm tired, so I'm off to bed. Come back tomorrow for some photos, courtesy of tchall!
