It looks like it should be fun, although I'm going to have to tweak the character party some. In IWD, having a paladin lead the party made for instant charisma; unfortunately, in IWD2, the paladin keeps turning down rewards that people offer him. Can't have that! Maybe I'll make a bard to lead the party; not sure.
I already like it more than Neverwinter Nights, anyhow.
That was a relatively small part of my evening, however. I actually spent more of it going to the chiropractor. I've been off the meds for a couple of days now, and my back, while not healed, is at least in fair shape. Mostly it's a little tight, and a little sore. I'm applying ice packs in the morning and stretching as per instructions, so I hope it's just a matter of time before it's okay again.
The sooner the better, because my weight is still going up not down, and this is a real problem. With my back the way it is, I'm afraid to do any strenuous exercise; I've been doing some walking, but that's not sufficient. The first time I lost a significant amount of weight, I did it by jogging every morning, and I know for a fact that my back won't take that in its current state.
To help both my money and weight, I'm making a new policy of no more than two Starbucks excursions a week -- including the bottled frappuccinos I used to keep at home. Assuming that one of those happens on gaming night, the other can be whenever else during the week I decide I need / want / deserve it.
Anyway, I'm back up at the receptionist desk again this morning, so I'm going to push on through some more of A Game of Thrones. I figure I'll give it until half way through, at which point I'll either be interested, or give up.
