Most memorable line:

Don Karnage (after flying into cave wall): What a reeDEEculous place for a wall.

My favourite line is:

Gunner: Fire at Will!
Don Karnage: No. Do not fire at Will. He is my first mate! FIRE AT THE SEA DUCK!

I always liked, "Missed! You NAUGHTY boy!"

...which is a reference to Help! (the Beatles movie) actually, which is also awesome.

The fact that Tale Spin references a Beatles movie creates a reverberation of awesome that doubles the awesomeness of both!

Spin it!

Oh-ee-aa! TALE SPIN!
Oh-ee-oh! TALE SPIN!
Friends for life through thick and thin
It's another Tale Spin

when do we see the Kid Cloudkicker Gneech Tale Spin Fan Art?

[and there were no lions on that show, were there?]

Kit? No. Neither Becky nor Molly either.

Baloo, Louie, and Sea Duck art? Yes. Sometime. :) Don Karnage, definitely.

Wild Cat (the mechanic) was a mountain lion. :) There were panthers and (of course) Shere Kahn, as well. So felines were pretty well represented!

I finally found it -- To Have and Have Not is basically Tale Spin on a ship! So yeah, it could work.

It's somewhat prophetic that you post this -just- as I finished downloading the whole series from bittorrent. Seriously, today, not more then six hours ago, the last little bit finished. :D

I always liked Don Karnage the best, too. :D

Y'know, I was just reminiscing about all the Disney Afternoon shows on my journal yesterday. Interesting coincidence...

Toon Disney at 12:30!!

How does one FORGET how awesome Tale Spin is??
ronald_mack sent me a tape of it a while back. Ahh, good times.

Don Karnage: Never... call me... -that-... word!
Baloo: What, crazy?
Don Karnage: THAT IS THE WORD!!

How much would I have to bribe you to borrow that DVD set sometime?

Feb. 4th, 2007 06:32 pm (UTC)

Don Karnage: [responding to a foolish question from his men] THAT is why I am in charge and you are bit players! Oh, did I hurt your feelings? Good!

Don Karnage: Are you in possession of all of your marbles?

Wildcat: You know, using these leftover spare parts, I could probably make a plane in an hour.
Baloo: Really?
Wildcat: Sure. And since I only have half the parts, it'll only take half as long.

Ah yes, I liked Wildcat, but Don Karnage always got the best lines....

I picked up and watched the 1st box set a few months ago. Lots of good memories there...

...and speaking of pop culture references, there is also one scene (I believe it was in the 2 parter) where Carnage mutters the line from the holy grail "....who has the brain of a duck you know" (don't know if I have that exactly right...I'll have to dig that out and watch it again)
