Nope. Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. Closer to Everquest 2 than Everquest 2 was, anyway; most of the creative team behind EQ were involved in it.

I never did to start. When the tutorial crashes halfway through, you get the idea that someone up there doesn't wantyou to play it...

Hell yeah.

My good friend 'DrFreud', has been a long time player... 6 yrs or more, still highly addicted.

I'm sure there are, they're just too busy playing their characters to actually do anything else, like LJ, so it is impossivle to get any positive responses to a question like that. ^_^ It's sort of like asking "Raise your hand if you're asleep?"

I think it's big in Australia. From what I understand, when WoW goes over the trans-equator intertubes, it comes out upside down.

Never played it.

World of Warcraft ate my soul.

I gave it up long ago. The quests were long and tiresome and I spent way too much time radomly wandering a city trying to find the one character I was looking for. If you wanted to do more than be a homeless bum you had to spend a lot of time working to pay the rent. Crafting was tricky too. It didn't leave much time for adventuring. The EQ2 graphics were wonderful though.

World of Warcraft makes "life" somewhat easier so that you can have more fun doing "stuff". I know when we showed it to you you got hit by idiots wanting to duel etc. That's not the way it usually works.

I'll have to look into Raiden's suggestion of Vanguard.

Nope. Never have, never will.

As I've said before, I refuse to Pay-for-Play.

Anybody know if Guild Wars is worth it?

It never wanted to pay right on any machine I had. Not even brand new multimedia PCs. Smrgol introduced me to World of Warcraft and that's been my happy adventuring, blow off steam home ever since.
