Star Wars Saga Edition Preview #2

Skills: Simplified All to Heck

I'm ambivalent about this change ... the skill system is one of the things I really like about d20. But until I see how it all actually fits together, I'm going to reserve my judgment. I know that the classes have Talent Trees that will interact with the new skill system in ways that aren't really addressed here, so we'll see.

Interesting. I agree. I'm not sure how this will be either. Guess we'll have to both wait and see. *has his book on pre-order*

Muhahahahaha! Its a Jedi Academy mod. Moogle Mod. ^_^ Is it bad though I figured out how to make a Moogle for d20 using the Races of the Wild book?

So far, it seems like they're borrowing heavily from True20 for the skill system. I rather like it myself, and hope this is the direction D&D goes as well.

I wonder if it will be worth it to buy the new books? We've already spent an awful lot of money on the current edition. But I do like the idea of a simplified system.

If you aren't sure, the best option might be to wait a few months and see what other players think after using the new edition for a while.
