Howdy From Pittsb. PA :)

I'm tired and need to do some heavy-duty going to bed, but I wanted to post quickly while I had a few moments to myself.

The con has been very good so far. Sales at our table have been nice and brisk, even if sales of my own stuff are kinda sluggish. Unfortunately, I only have one new item here, the Kitten Kaboodle shirt, so it's not so surprising I guess. I'm going to need to do some adjusting of my "product line" between now and FC, I can tell -- although by then if all goes well No Predation Allowed will be out. But because of the move, my parents' health, etc., I have definitely been kind of "coasting" as far as my art is concerned, and I'm starting to pay the price now. Fortunately, it's not too late to correct it.

In other news, the GPS really let us down on the way up here. It got us to Pittsburgh beautifully -- but apparently there are two 945 Penn Avenues in Pittsburgh, one in the 15222 zip code, and one in the 15221 zip code. And naturally, thanks to Finagle's Law, the GPS picked the one that wasn't our hotel. -.- So we spent an unnecessary 20 minutes trying to get into the right zip code.

The nice thing about going to a ton of these cons is that eventually, everybody knows you. And it's been really great seeing and hanging out with everybody -- including people I've only met online before. In particular I was surprised this morning by kailucidricwolf, who I've chatted with a bazillion times online but never in a million years expected to see at AC. I didn't get to hang out with him much, as I had to go prep the dealer table, but it was still cool to encounter him in person.

This evening I had a very pleasant "business and general schmoozing" dinner with Kerry, John Lotshaw, Sue Deer, and Bill Holbrook, in which we plotted global domination discussed some very cool new projects and products. It really is almost indescribably cool to be working with such talented and professional people -- I often feel quite outclassed, but pleased and honored to involved nonetheless. The real task for me is not the actual work, but to force myself to rise to the challenge.

On a side note, there are some unpleasantly loud voices coming through my wall. I know it can't be the rooms on either side of me -- one has hantamouse and the other has mammallamadevil -- so my best guess is that they're out on the street and coming through the window. Either that, or up from the floor below ('cause I hear what sounds like a TV).

Oh, also, Anthropoly was today -- that's always a lot of fun. Poor KuddlePup had to make up some of the rules as he went along because we just couldn't get a single match for a long time.

*thinks*

Well, I seem to have run out of post, so I'll stop here for now. G'nite world, and have an awesome tomorrow!
