Monday Workout Report, and a Mini-Rant

I didn't really do any workouts last week after Sunday (last Sunday I did DDR and helped hantamouse buy and carry rugs and shelves for his new place). Mainly last week, I dealt with a bunch of "stuff that needs dealing with" and did some decompressing. This week, tho, I'm back on the program. But hey, I lost two pounds, so I musta done something right. ;)

So here's tonight's numbers.

Warmup: 3 mins aerobic rows @ 25 lbs (easy)
Cross Triceps Extension: 2 sets 10 reps @ 30 lbs (mod)
Seated Resisted Punch: 2 sets 10 reps @ 30 lbs (mod; this weight is up 5 lbs from last time)
Standing Reverse Fly: 3 sets 10 reps @ 15 lbs (easy to moderate)
Standing Chest Press: 2 sets 10 reps @ 30 lbs (mod; this weight is up 5 lbs from last time -- soon I'll have to start using the bench)
Aerobic Row: 1 set 40 reps @ 30 lbs (mod)
Cooldown: 3 mins aerobic rows @ 25 lbs (easy)

Body Weight: 309.5 lbs.

And now for a mini-rant:

99.99% of fans are wonderful -- but every once in a while I run into that one who seems to think that I'm on retainer as their personal entertainment factory. So let me say this for that 0.01% who apparently haven't gotten the memo:

Web cartoonists, writers, and other creative types do their art because they love it and want to share it with the world. This does NOT mean that just because you partake of their work, they somehow owe you more!

I mean seriously, how would you feel if you offered somebody, say, an ice cream cone, and after they finished it they gave you a nasty look and said, "Well where the hell is the REST of it?" That's pretty much how a cartoonist (particularly one who does their art for free in their spare time) feels when they get grief for not updating often enough, or for not providing an update that meets some arbitrary (and not set by the artist) standard.

Like I say, almost all fans I have ever encountered have been wonderfully appreciative, and I love you guys for it. I just wanted to get it off my chest 'cause people have been poking me about it lately. Believe me, if I had my way, Suburban Jungle and NeverNever would update seven days a week and there'd be a daily Fictionlet. But I don't have my way, and giving me grief about it is more likely to make me say "Screw the whole thing!" than it is to change the constraints I'm working under.

Anyway, that's all, and I'm tired, so I'm going to bed now. G'nite world, and have an awesome tomorrow. :)

Ive been there alot myself. So far the commentary I get from some fanboys at FA is complaints saying I dont color my new stuff (Since Im only posting sketches) and go on to say how if it was colored Id get more views and its not TRUELY awesome unless its considered a 'finished work'.

This hurts even more cause Im partially colorblind so coloring ANYTHING is really hard and time consuming for me. =/

What? I'm sorry about the color blind problem you're having. And, as for those complaining about you not coloring your work, etc. Screw them. If they're just sketches, then they should just STFU. After all, they're just sketches. Just do the stuff because you enjoy doing them, not because the fanboys want to see more.

I do have a suggestion. Just do the best you can when you ink something. Some of the best things that I'd seen on FA were pieces that were inked, but weren't colored, since the artist knew how to make the piece look more interesting being in simple Black and White then in color.

Heh, I'm (partially) colorblind in one eye. That makes things... interesting... at times.

"What color is this?"

"Blue-ish...no, green-ish...no..."

Grrf. Yes, that's frustrating.

I'm always like, "If you know so much about it, why aren't YOU posting art then?"
