Check It Out -- Aether Exists Again! :D

From athelind: New cosmic theory unites dark forces

Basically, according to this theory, galaxies are floating in invisible soup. Or, as they called it in the 1800's, æther.

If only we could swim in the stuff!

Yeah, that's it. It's not an insufficient understanding of physics after all.

Exactly. It surrounds us. It binds the universe together. *blink*

Well, it would be a lot easier to tell who was smarter if Einstein had teamed up with Hasbro to sell a ton of Einstein action figures. ;)

I want the Einstein's Brain in Carbonite figure, personally. XD

There must be a LOLcat about invisible soup. Somewhere.

Funny you should mention that. I've got a book called "Cat Tales" by Richard Watherwax and Philip Lief, published in 1979, containing a series of jokes and wacky short stories about cats, told in text and photos.

One story is about a cat named Toto who eats clear consommé for lunch and becomes invisible. His owner Mary eventually makes him visible again by painting him with "Mother Erblad's Kittycat Paint".

This book is sort of the great-granddaddy of LOLcats (in RL, as opposed to Adam Koford's Laugh-Out-Loud Cats, which are the fictional great-grandpappy of LOLcats).

If only Edison had perfected his Ether Propellor ...
