Stephen Collins Ref...

In case you were wondering...

Casablanca meets Indiana Jones by way of Only Angels Have Wings? Yes please, and make it a double! Made by the same team as Magnum, P.I. and Quantum Leap, the show was actually much better than it deserved to be, considering the era and budget, but sadly nowhere near as good as its opening credits.

Still, accusations thrown at TaleSpin that it was Tales of the Gold Monkey: The Animated Series are wholly justified.

A seaplane and a dog with an eyepatch!? How have I missed this?

Heh! I'd have thought it was old news to you. :) Fortunately, thanks to the joy of YouTube, you can still catch some of it in grainy Betamax glory! ;)

re: the dog's eyepatch, Jake (the owner) lost Jack (the dog)'s glass eye in a card game in the pilot episode, and a recurring subplot was his never-ending attempts to get the eye back.

'twas a fun show, as long as you were willing to "go with it"... :) It inspired my continuing love affair with the Grumman Goose.

Yeah, I would have totally thought I'd have seen this show too. Dog + Eyepatch + Seaplane = Epic Mega WIN!
