- Something I never expected to experience happened to me today: I heard "Bela Lugosi's Dead" by Bauhaus playing on the PA at a shopping mall.
- I don't care if Wil Wheaton does love it, I just can't get myself excited about J.J. Abrams's Star Trek Babies. Maybe if they'd stuck with Matt Jeffries's designs and gone with older actors. (Yes, I know, they're supposed to be in the academy. But seriously, the idea of Kirk being in the academy at the same time as McCoy, and especially as Scotty, doesn't make the slightest bit of sense. And why is Chekov out of junior high school? Plus a lot of other ranty purism that I won't bother with.) I'm sure I'll see it ... someday ... by virtue of it being on a television that happens to be in front of me.
- Similarly, I don't care how much Hugh Jackman is in it, I just can't get myself excited about Wolverine, either. I'm pretty much done with superheroes these days. Although I would love to see The Hulk done as a period piece.
- EDIT: One more! You go, Gov. Baldacci!
That's it for now. If anything else comes up, I'll let you know.
