I caught this trailer a couple weeks ago, and thought it a very interesting take on the original, and i'm looking forward to seeing it. A key is of course getting the right actor in the number 2 slot, after all, he's who number 6 must deal with.

There was a different No. 2 in every episode of the series. His outfit was different, but his role appears to be largely the same.

The question is, "Who is Number 1"?

I'm betting it's the kid in that part of the nearly 10 minute trailer.

Wonder if this new Number 6 is also named, John Drake?

mixed feelings on this one, hope it's going to be good - I keep catching the originals on ITV4 over here at random after work shifts :)

Lovely day ;)

After AMC's remake of The Andromeda Strain, I'm a bit leery about their version of The Prisoner.

The trailer looks good and I really do hope they do a good job on it. I'm looking forward to it, though with some reservations.

Ian McKellan is #2? <3 <3 <3

But they left out McGoohan's hand signal. That's a cryin' shame.

I was wondering when you'd get around to seeing that trailer, as you're the only person on my friends list who I know to be a Prisoner fan. :)

Chris, my husband, was spitting bile when he saw the trailer; couldn't believe they'd "Americanized" his beloved show. I'm going to be waiting to see what it's like. Anything with Sir Ian McKellen in it is probably worth seeing!

Hmmmm....what can I say? Looks pretty run-of-the-mill. Not a patch on the original more of a badly-done reboot. Funny camera angles, blarey music, Guy 'n' girl....nothing we haven't seen in a dozen awful hollywood movies. This really dosen't look all that special - it's like they took the 60s series and threw it all away apart from the name.

Bummer of the season.

That's how I felt about the 'reimaging' of Battlestar Galactica.

Very cool..., and very, very creepy.

I've got one statement for Ian McKellan, "I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed, or NUMBERED!"

And in the end, will this new Number 6, come back and like his predecessor, "..., wipe this place off the face of the Earth"?

Ooooo.... Can't wait until November. Be seeing you.

I'm very optimistic about this show. I like the visual style, and the content seems intriguing, can't say I'm familiar with the previous show and what is revealed in it, all I know is the lil bits you reference from it, and a few homages from the simpsons. If its on the internets when it comes out it'll be a definite watch pour moi.
