And, as much as I need it to be finished, it's been a huge part of my life for the past ten years and it's tough to let go.
Now, it's not all stalling — this has been a crazygonuts year for laurie_robey and myself, and shows no signs of slowing down. My dad's health problems are a fact. Our jobs trying to take over our lives and needing to be beaten into submission is a fact. Getting myself out from under dependency to Cymbalta is a fact.
But there have also been plenty of times that I could have been drawing but suddenly had an overwhelming compulsion to have Maedhroc grind out 10,000 orcs for his Drudgery deed in LotRO for instance. Usually when that happens it's because I'm tired and know that if I try to draw I'll make a hash of it, but if I'm going to be honest, I need to face the fact that sometimes I've just been stalling.
It's weird how coming to a stop with SJ is much harder than starting it was. But both it and I are stagnating and need to grow. Scary step it may be, but it's a necessary one.
