Positively Chuffed :)

Upon hearing that we'll be in the U.K. next year, people keep giving us invites. :) Manchester! London! A drive to Portmerion! Oxford! Bradford! Such lovely folk you all are. :) The hard part now is going to be fitting it all in (and perhaps squeeze in a trip to the Doctor Who museum in Cardiff while I'm at it, if that's still there).

Of course, the obvious solution is to make more than one trip. But as it's taken me 40 years to score this one, I don't want to take any chances!

Go to Wales and to Portmerion / The Doctor Who exhibition above anything else - you'll be glad you did :-)

I wonder if I'll be able to find a copy of "Quartermass and the Pit" over there...

Shouldn't be too hard - I've got a copy. Unfortunatley, only the first two episodes of The Quatermass Experiment survive.

I went to Portmerion when I was a young teen, and I'd never even heard of The Prisoner - I kept seeing these references to this show everywhere in this quaint town and I was like "What's that?"

Luckily, I have since watched the show and carry fondly the memory that I actually got to stand upon the stone boat, and walk around the green of 'The Village' :-)

Oh, if only you were here in June...

I wasn't all that impressed by the Dr Who exhibition when I saw it in Brighton, so I'd say it could be missed.

Go visit 221B Baker Street and Florin Court (the real-life Whitehaven Mansions)!

If you need someone to tell you how to find the Turf Tavern and where the best Ice Cream in Oxford is, you can ask me!

Tell me! I'm only 15 mins down the road/rail, and I know neither of these things :P

It's much easier to show someone where the Turf is than try to give directions... Of course, it does tend to pack up a bit during term time weekends. And the best Ice Cream in Oxford is of course in the Little Clarendon St G&Ds, above the place they make it.

That place is still going? Sweet!

Is Peppers in Jericho (best burgers in Oxford, in my day) still there?

Also, Gneech, count me in on the list of willing providers of hospitality, etc.

G&D's has actually opened two additional branches, in Aldates and Cowley Road. The Aldates naturally gets packed up with Tourists, leaving the Oxford Students to take LtlClarendon and the Brookes crowd taking Cowley.

Don't know the Jericho end of Oxford that well, and I'm a vegetarian now anyway.

Pan mentioned the Portmerion trip at the weekend, and dependant upon the date, I might tag along, as I've never been.

Don't forget a visit to the city of the museum of the Fab Four ;)

With so many people wanting to meet you, maybe you should seriously consider organising a meet and greet?

You need to go there. Because my boy, one day... ALL OF THIS will be YOURS!
