Workout Report 1/3/2011

Well, it's been six days since I hit the gym, but I've been doing other (less quantifiable) workouts in the meantime, particularly Dance Central, some long walks, that kinda thing. But today I was all about the weights, so in we went!

Arm Curl: 1 set 10 reps @ 40 lbs, 1 set 10 reps @ 30 lbs, tough (first attempt with this machine, will try 2 x 10 @ 35 lbs next time)
Chest Press: 2 sets 10 reps @ 40 lbs, medium/tough (first attempt w/ this machine)
Cable Cross (Twist): 2 sets 10 reps @ 35 lbs, medium/tough (up 5 lbs from last week)
Leg Press: 2 sets 10 reps @ 120 lbs, medium/tough
Squat Lift: 2 sets 10 reps @ 40 lbs, hard (right after the leg press, no wonder!)
Shoulder Press: 2 sets 10 reps @ 20 lbs, medium/tough
Vertical Traction: 2 sets 10 reps @ 95 lbs, easy/medium (up 5 lbs from last week)
Upper Back: 2 sets 10 reps @ 45 lbs, medium (up 5 lbs from last week)
Arm Extension: 2 sets 10 reps @ 65 lbs, medium (up 5 lbs from last week)
Lower Back: 2 sets 10 reps @ 45 lbs, medium (up 5 lbs from last week)
Weight: 314 lbs

Haven't quite worked out the ins and outs of the routine, but sneaking weights up is always good. :) Followed up with a dinner of fajitas (minus sour cream and guacamole, as I don't care for 'em and they don't add anything but fat anyway).

Now, to finish getting that portfolio ready for FC! :) Life's good.

I might be able to help with the ins and outs of your routine. Try starting with the larger muscle groups and finishing with the smaller ones.

Some of the order is determined by which machines are free at any given time. ;) It's a busy gym!

But I am also still trying out different machines and such ... right now I'm very much in the "broad strokes" stage of figuring it out.
