I love my Kung Fu classes. I'm always drained, often sore, and occasionally a bit battered by them, but it's always worth it. Kung Fu is bringing me peace of mind, strength of body, and health of spirit, and it's carrying forward into other aspects of my life as well. Sloppy, uncommented Cold Fusion code? Not from me! Telling lies to get along? No more. Agreeing to do something that I don't want to do, then trying to get out of it? Don't think so. Giving a halfway try? Yeah, right.
The dedication required to keep coming back, even those times when I just don't feel like it, is making me take stock of my activities and interests, as well, and mentally sort through the clutter to find things that really matter to me. Although it hasn't had much effect on the physical clutter around my workspace here ;) I expect that eventually it will probably make its presence felt there, too.
This is a heckuva thing, and I've barely even started! I can't wait to see where this new path takes me. :)
