I was so pleased with myself for having worked up to the point where I could go through the whole warmup in Kung Fu without having to stop to catch my breath...
...and then the temperature went up...
We jogged right on out the door and into the parking lot, then around the building ... and I was gasping for air in a few short minutes. I spent the rest of class frantically playing catchup. It was rough.
Oh well, I built my way up to it when the temperatures were low, I can build my way up to it when the temperatures are high. The good news is, by the time temperatures are low again, those warmups will feel like nothing at all!
The news from the book front is less than good ... I can have 10 pages or less of color. I don't sell in anything like the volume of Kevin and Kell or Sluggy Freelance, which means my books don't get printed in the volumes necessary to cut any deals on printing. Le sigh. :P
So the "Tiffarella" segment either runs in black and white, or not at all. I am examining my options now.
Oh well, I'm just gonna keep on plugging. To that end, I got Friday's strip done and posted for katayamma
to color, did a quick sketch for the Character Q&A
thread in the SJ forum (Vince, kevinjdog
, don't think of it as plagiarism, so much as a "tribute," really!), and that about wraps it up for me tonight.
G'nite world! Have a great tomorrow.
