What You Mean "We," Paleface?

A radio commentator talking about the recent tax-cut bill, said something to the effect of, "In the current climate, we just can't afford a tax cut!"

That irritates the heck out of me. I have a newsflash for you, dude: taxes being ripped out of my pay are not OUR money. It's MY money, and I can always afford a tax cut.

What you mean to say is, "The government cannot afford to stop stealing the citizens' money at gunpoint if we're to pay for all this pork, corruption, and incompetence." And that's certainly true -- but somehow, I have no sympathy.

When government has to run pledge drives to fill its coffers, come and talk to me. There are programs I'd be willing to support with donations -- but I would have to choose which programs, and how much I'd be willing to pay. The current setup is a Capone-style protection racket, pure and simple.
