EverEver Find An Artist?

Once again, I got flack at the con from people who want me to start up NeverNever again, and once again, I gave them the same answer I always do: I want me to start up NeverNever again, but if it was that easy, I would have done it already!

At one point, I was talking to my sister about having her take over the art duties, but I don't think she really understood just what a big undertaking she was proposing to jump into. A comic strip is an ever-hungry beast -- "What have you done for me today?" It's not something a harried mother of three can just pick up on the fly.

However, I am still potentially interested in having somebody take on the art duties, but the problem is finding an artist who:

  • Likes NeverNever
  • Is looking for a project
  • Could handle producing at least two strips a week
  • Has the right art style
  • I know and have a good rapport with -- or at least trust enough to try

Vince talked about doing it at one point, but we both pretty much agreed its baroque nature wasn't really suited to his very rugged art style.

Ah well, I guess I'll have to keep pondering it for the moment. If anyone has recommendations, I'd love to hear them!

Moving On...

Well, I've posted the last Wally/Mikey strip for Hikaru to color. All in all, I'd give the storyline a "B," in terms of how well I achieved what I wanted. I hope Vince's fans enjoyed seeing Mikey back in action again, but even more so, I'm hoping Vince did. :)

So next week, I am going to set up a teaser for a new Tiffany/Leonard storyline (remember those two?), so that people will be ancy for the storyline to start up again on September 1. Hopefully, there won't be any more breaks this year after that!
