Have you ever had a dream about how tired you were? I just woke from one. Other salient images included a little ASCII stick figure of an angel or some other winged figure, head down and falling into a dark pit on a computer screen, leaving mayonnaise out all night because I was too tired to put it away before I went to bed, and the name "Archimedes" (although in this context it referred to the falling angel on the screen, and not the inventor in Syracuse).
The weird part was, I woke up really, really hungry, so now it's 4:30 a.m. and I'm staring blearily at the screen while eating a bowl of Corn Bran. I guess my brain was just in an artsy mood or something.
Y'know, I've noticed something ... everybody who's ever told me about having tarot / past-life / divination etc. done for them, has told me the same thing: "I have an old soul."
Interesting coincidence, that. :)
Is there anybody out there with a young soul?
I meant to mention, Laurie and I went to see Tomb Raider II yesterday. On the whole, it was even with the first Tomb Raider movie, which is to say it was fun to watch once but probably not at in-theater price. The only reason I went this time was because I'd heard some people say it was better than the first entry.
Angelina Jolie is a rotten Lara Croft (sorry Angelina), and the scriptwriters are even worse scriptwriters. There was a neat fight scene involving a bayonet, but pretty much everything else had already been done and better by other movies already.
Oh well. I wonder if Jackie Chan's new flick The Medallion will be better? The Tuxedo was a bit weak.
Still, how 'bout that Pirates of the Caribbean, eh? Woohoo! =)
I should modify this a bit, I guess, because she doesn't fit my own particular vision of Lara Croft; but I've only played the first two games, so I may have a skewed view. For all I know, the people at Eidos may think she's perfect. But I also find Angelina just plain unattractive in and of herself, which doesn't help.
I need to do some artwork purely for my own enjoyment. The problem, of course, is trying to decide what.
