Personal Distraction Attachment

So today I periodically stop doing what little work I actually have to sit and play with my new geek toy. :) So far I've...

  • Played with the screen brightness

  • Copied my contacts from Outlook

  • Taken a picture of laurie_robey

  • Gone to an office supply store in a futile quest to find a screen protector, and checked out Palm games while I was there

  • Put tonight's counselor appointment into the date book

  • Written two paragraphs of my next adventure intro in the memo book using the built-in keyboard (I gotta install "Wordsmith" on this thing)

  • Turned it on several times

  • Turned it off several times

  • Played with Graffiti 2 (much better than the original Graffiti)

  • Looked around for gaming utilities

  • Tried unsuccessfully to beam a couple of applications from laurie_robey's Handspring

  • Listened to all the alarm sounds

  • Learned to use the "Jog Wheel" (basically a scroll button)

  • Pondered various accessories from SonyStyle.com

I've got more stuff to do/install/play with, but unfortunately, it's all at home (as is the cradle). I've got a compact flash wireless card with me, but no readily available hotspot to play in here.

So far, I like it quite a bit. My only concern is that it seems a little fragile compared to the Handspring; it's probably the swiveling screen that gives me that impression.

More bulletins as events warrant.
