[1] For the record, I enjoy forays into quackery myself ... but I also take it with big helpings of salt.

At lunchtime, we slipped out to Borders, where I picked up an autographed copy of this book.

"Gneech, you silly ass," you might be saying, "what are you doing reading Wodehouse pastiches, when you've only scratched the surface of Wodehouse himself?" Well, there are three reasons:

1) Just because,
2) I am, as you so ably observed, a silly ass, and
3) It was autographed.

Besides, it sounded like a good read. :) We'll have to see how it goes.
