My brain wants to go to Kung Fu, but my body's saying, "Nothing doing." As it is, my body is giving my brain a lot of grief for being out of bed. Groan. But I couldn't stay asleep any more, no matter what my body wanted.
Anybody got some chloroform or something to knock me out with? Erf.
Well that'll teach me to not skip class. -.- I guilted myself into gettin' into the uniform and going, figuring that some exercise would pick me up and that by the end of class I'd be all perky and such.
So of course, class today was a pounding. Erf. We jogged and jogged and jogged and jogged, then did spinning kicks, flying kicks, reverse kicks, flying spinning kicks, and flying spinning reverse kicks, and then from there straight into cartwheels, rolling, and falling.
Somewhere along the way, my ciatic nerve (sp?) gave up and committed seppuku. Unfortunately, I rather need that nerve to make my right leg do things like, y'know, stand and walk around. So I spent the rest of class limping and quietly muttering "Owie, owie, owie."
I got through it ... it wasn't easy, but I got through it. I still can't do a proper kippup, but I'm getting closer. I'm told I did a nice cartwheel today. I don't know what it looked like, of course, since I was busy flinging myself across the room at the time, but it's nice to know I did something right...
PS: Owie, owie.
PPS: Oh, and there were bricks. Did I mention the bricks?
