Season's Screamings

My favorite holiday classic!

In other news, yaaaay, LiveJournal's answering me again!

It's really windy here. Really REAAAALLLY windy. Like so windy, you need Balto to drag you from place to place. Mush! Mush!

The wind broke the revolving door in the front of our office building, so now the lobby has gusts of up to 50 mph. At least one of the potted trees was knocked over when laurie_robey and I were down there. It's scary.

However, this did inspire a sketch, which I hope to finish sometime this afternoon, in between meetings and, y'know, actually working occasionally. Drawing is fun! ^.^

Well, not really, sorry all you Wally/Mikey 'shippers out there ...but they ARE in a new piece of artwork!Collapse )

What do you think, sirs?

PS: No jokes about pootie power.

Never a Profound Thought When I Want One

Well, lacking any profound thoughts, I guess I'll just engage in some chit-chat. A lot of the value in a journal, after all, is not the big moments, but the cumulative effect of lots of little ones, or something like that.

Kung Fu tonight was something of a change-up ... we normally have a routine of nine different types of crunches, doing 20 of each (180 total). Tonight, we did 100 ... of each type. 0.o

Well, I say "we" ... I doubt anybody in the class actually did all 900 crunches (not even Sihing), but most people did some ungawdly amount. I would estimate my own performance at around 600 total.

Owie. 0.o

Let me just think about that a minute. I did 600 crunches. In a 10-minute period. That's an average of 60 crunches a minute.

Owie, I say. -.-

I also learned a new move in the Lightning Fist form ... I'm about a third of the way through that, and I've done all of the floor movements. I am guessing the yellow belt will be within reach by March at the latest. =)

Then came home and took the evening off to watch videos with laurie_robey, since I've been cranking out art so much since I got back from MFF. Just needed a break. We watched some of the animated Mr. Bean series, including a "making of" featurette, and the "Christmas Party" episode of Nero Wolfe, which is actually one of my favorites. It has a lot of nice, subtle, but strong plumbing of the bizarre friendship between Wolfe and Archie, even if the "solving of the mystery" part is not exactly brilliant deductive work. ;)

So now, I'm off to bed, where I hope to not have nightmares about demons forcing me to do crunches for all eternity.

G'nite, everybody, and have a wonderful tomorrow!
