The good news is that I finally got enough sleep last night.
The bad news is that I had to get sick to get it. -.-
I have some kind of throat-irritating con crud; so I'm staying home today in the hopes of getting it cleared up a bit and not spreading it to my co-workers.
I didn't have much energy today, as you might expect, but I did have a little, so I decided to try to get some scripting in. At 2:15ish in the afternoon, I toddled over to my former favorite haunt of a Barnes & Noble with the intent of finding a table and giving my scripting notebook what-for with the ol' mechanical pencil.
Well, it turns out, this particular Barnes & Noble is just as overstuffed with people during the middle of a Wednesday afternoon as it is at 8:00 on a Friday night ... the only difference being slightly fewer shrieking toddlers, perhaps. The good news is that the adjoining Starbucks was nice and quiet by comparison, so the trip wasn't a total loss. But this was the final nail in the coffin of my once-beloved B&N scripting sessions. 2:15 on Wednesday? Come on, the place should be more or less dead, not packed to the gills with people whose only goal in life is to prevent me from having a table.
Oh well. I got a few weeks' worth of scripts written at least, so hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to bang out a decent strip and start trying -- ever, ever trying -- to build up the buffer again.
In the meantime, sleep beckons, and hopefully the bug will slip off quietly in the night. G'nite!
