When Cartooning Attacks

Sometime during the midst of drawing today's strip last night, my left trapezius started to hurt down near the bottom where it connects to the spine. Then as I was coloring and the evening wore on, the pain grew steadily worse, until by the time I went to bed it was making it difficult to stand up and walk around. Owie! >.<

So today, no workout. I rest.

I'm assuming that it was put into "the danger zone" by the increased weight on the rope pushdowns, and then leaning over the drawing table to ink pushed it over the edge.

Advil, come to me now!

That's all. Just "Yarr!"

Robert E. Howard Goodness, and a Berfday

Happy birthday, mouser!

Have some free online REH stories, featuring Conan and Solomon Kane. These appear to be transcriptions from their appearances in Weird Tales, presumably having fallen out of copyright.

EDIT: Or you might prefer some Doc Savage, the Man of Bronze!

Take That, You Fiend!

I am now the proud owner of Tunnels & Trolls 30th Anniversary Special Edition with the new, improved, 7th Edition Rules!

And I gotta say, I'm digging it. :) I may just run some of this thing! What's interesting is that there are actually two different games here ... one is a somewhat-more-advanced version of the freewheeling T&T that us old grognards know and love, and then there's an "Alternate Special Edition" that has all kinds of crunchy rules for changing your character type with experience, different combat, and a new magic system. All of which sorta defeats the original stated purpose of Tunnels & Trolls, to wit, to be a fast and easy game without all those crunchy bits that D&D is saddled with.

I do miss Liz Danforth's art -- but at least she did the cover!
