I'm Alive!

I had a vision. I stood before the Buddha, who said to me, "So, young Gneech, what have you learned from your painful ordeal?"

"That's easy," I said. "Don't take eating for granted ... you'll miss it when it's gone."

The Buddha smiled, and said, "Well, I'm impressed! You're not as dumb as you look!"

Yup, that's me all over ... even the Buddha gives me grief. :-` Still, it's nice being alive again!

Speaking of being alive, I'd like to extend a warm "HAPPY BIRTHDAY YA OLD GEEZER!" to my dad, who is slightly older than dirt. He's a trooper, my dad is. :)

If there is any way to do it wrong, he'll find it.

There are multiple groups I can point to with that phrase at the moment. I feel unpleasantly like Dr. Evil, wondering why I have to be surrounded by frickin' idiots.

On the other hand, I have some very good friends, an awesome wife and a business partner who rocks. :) So really, I shouldn't complain!

No Tuesday Workout Report

I decided that, between being sick and being busy, it would be a good week to take a "vacation" from the Bowflex. I'll do my regular Wednesday Yourself! Fitness tomorrow, still.

Also, we finished off Trigun ... meh. Vash and Spider-Man both have the same screwed up and ultimately solopsistic idea of what constitutes "personal responsiblity." The binary idea that "if you're not a saint, you must be despicable instead" is something that should have gone out of style with the Puritans.

Oh well. It was the first third of a great series. -.- But I probably won't go on about "LOVE and PEACE" with the same enthusiasm again, I'm afraid.
