Kero asleep

Home From BroNYCon!

QuillyPen dropped me off just a few minutes ago, and I'm about to go crash, but I did want to let everyone know that I was home and safe and had a great time. Big thanks to Quilly and Lupinia for the ride home and the company all weekend. I also got to meet and hang out with CargoWeasel, Axiomaxiom, Waxtom and Thrashbear, who were all quite cool.

There's lots of other folks I'd like to give shout-outs to, but I am falling asleep at my keyboard and can't remember them all. I will specifically mention the folks I shouted out to in Twitter, i.e., MyLittleDashie, AppleJinx, Dusty Katt, and Kinky Turtle. Rock on you rockin' ponies. :)

It was a fun weekend. And now I'm going to bed. Good night, world, and have an awesome tomorrow!

Dewhitton Commission, Finished! Steampunk Flying Fox [artwork]

Dewhitton Commish: Steampunk Flying Fox by ~the-gneech on deviantART

One of my June commissions, which I finished up sitting at a table at BroNYCon, when we weren't being evacuated for fire (BurNYCon?).

His request was for his character, an Australian flying fox, in steampunk garb and wielding his raygun from Dr. Grordbort's Contrapulatronic Dingus Directory.

Awkward raygun is awkward, and I kinda hashed the perspective on it, I'm afraid. On the other hand, I was quite pleased with the ink and color on this one. I am -graaadually- getting the hang of working with real media.

Anyhow! Now to ship the original to Australia. ^.^' I hope it survives the trip! And I hope you like it, Batty!

LJ-Like? Interesting...

Well this is interesting! LiveJournal now has a feature called "LJ-Like", which adds "Like" buttons at the bottom of your post. You put a <lj-like> tag into your post, and boomf, there they are. There's also <repost button="repost">, which will add a "repost" button at the end.

I'm not sure why it needs to be explicitly put in, instead of being the default setting, but still, it's nice to see LJ trying to get more social. The quick-and-easy-sharing ability of other sites is one area where LJ could use a little modernizing.
