Today's "Eats, Shoots & Leaves"

The comma was first used by Greek dramatists two thousand years ago to guide actors between breathing points-- thus leading to the modern explanation of which a cat is not a comma:

A cat has claws at the end of its paws;
A comma's a pause at the end of a clause.
