Was very happy to pick up the glowing shield and warhammer. Curious about mechanics of brightness and on-off-ableness of any glow. That may be an 'attune to it and it's at-will'. Artistbrain wants to know what color of glow. XD

Were there others than that set, and who else got any?

The regen did make things a bit sloggy. Game-wise, if there were a more player-visible effect of the regen, eg; the statue glows green and magic-missile like bolts zap out to all the damaged undead and visibly heal them, we might have refocused fire on the statue. Now that the scene's over, what would it's AC/HP have been? After a rest, Gimlet's likely to go take his new hammer to it anyway and have himself a consecration ritual before going on. Then he needs to pen a requisition to lord Sildar for more healing potions. If he's not getting them in bulk yet, he should be.

Re: feedback
Each helm horror dropped a +1 hammer and a +1 shield. The glowiness is a constant low-level magical shimmer comparable to an animal's eyeshine– not bright enough to make you glow in the dark from the far side of a field, but enough that it's noticeable. Think of it being like the reflectivity of a traffic sign. There isn't a distinctive color to it, but stylistically both the hammer and shield are traditionally dwarven in design.

At the moment, I suspect Gimlet is carrying all of them, as nobody else wanted to claim them.

In re: the statue, here's how I wrote it up:

Pillar of Dread (CR 2; 450 XP)

Large construct (emplacement), neutral evil

Armor Class 20
Hit Points 20

Attunement. An undead creature of CR equal to or greater than the pillar may attune the pillar to themselves. If that creature fails a saving throw, it can choose to draw the energy of the pillar to succeed on the saving throw instead. The attuned creature may also, as a reaction, attempt to interrupt a creature within 60' in the process of casting a spell, as if casting counterspell (using the higher of Wisdom or Charisma as their spellcasting ability). Doing either of these things does 10 points of damage to the pillar.
Aura of Fear. Any creature other than an undead that begins their turn within sight of the pillar must make a DC 12 Charisma saving throw. On a failure, the creature has disadvantage on all attacks and ability checks. Once the saving throw succeeds, the creature cannot be affected again for 24 hours.
Aura of Unhallowed Resistance. Any undead that begins their turn within sight of the pillar regenerates 5 hit points, up to their maximum.
Dismantling. The pillar can be destroyed by dismantling it. As an action, a character within 5' of the pillar may attempt a DC 12 Strength (Athletics), Intelligence (Arcana), or Intelligence (Religion) check. If successful, the pillar takes 10 hit points of damage.

The ghast was attuned to it, but never opted to use its counterspell or saving throw abilities.

FWIW, healing potions are readily available at Ye Olde Adventurer's Shoppe for 50 gp each if my memory serves correctly. ;)
