After AnthroCon, I won't quite say that I fell apart on the diet/exercise front, but I definitely paid less attention than I have been, particularly in regards to my deep and never-satiated love for chocolate. As a result, my weight nudged back up a bit, hitting 281 last week. (For what it's worth, just about everything about me was kinda falling apart, and the weight was just going with it.) This week has seen a concentrated effort towards pulling out of that tailspin, and I'm pleased it seems to be working. I'm still up a bit from my lowest (276.2), but the fact that I could reverse the damage relatively easily is still a good thing. :)
IN OTHER NEWS: We saw Ant-Man last night. It was enjoyable enough, if slightly marred by the fact that the best things in it were all things that had nothing to do with Ant-Man. As an "in-between episodes" data point in Captain America/The Avengers, I enjoyed it, and to its credit there was a certain amount of fun fantasy to be had around the whole "teeny guy with an army of ants" theme. But I can't even remember the protagonist's name, much less really care that much about his adventures. Michael Douglas as Hank Pym handing on the legacy was infinitely more engaging than "dark haired white guy struggling to be a good dad for his adorable daughter" number 6,598,744 from the Hollywood movie machine.
Basically, it was "Night the Museum: Cool Cameos By Captain America Characters." But fun. :)
