Now at any given time, there's about a 20% chance that my cable is up. It's particularly annoying when I'm trying to do things like, say, post to my LJ. I check that the cable is up, type my post and try to submit it, and BANG, it went down when I was typing and I didn't double-check it.
I'm not completely bereft of access ... I still have what amounts to a lifetime Prodigy dialup account as a leftover perk from LifeMinders, so I can fall back on that (as I'm doing right now). I can't do much in the way of watching animations or downloading large files, but I can at least surf.
From the "I'm Too Sketchy for My Shirt" Department...
I think SJ is going to be sketches again this week, with plot to start up again next week. I'm still getting settled in at Circle, and sketches are easy to do "on the fly," so to speak. I'm going to draw strips at night like I would normally, so I can get them to katayamma and get them colored in advance, but they're going to be for next week, instead of the next day.
With my writing and my cartooning both, I've found it more difficult for the past year or two to get into that "living in another world" mindset that used to come so naturally to me. Some of it is probably because the real world has been so very insistent on demanding my attention all the time -- being an adult sucks -- but I think there are other things going on as well. I'm not sure what they are, exactly, but I'm looking into the problem. Writing, cartooning, etc., are just about the only things that I'm good at that I actually enjoy doing, and I'm not about to let the onset of adulthood get in the way of those.
That's all for now. :) Catcha later!
