We have been slowly watching the Star Trek: Season One boxed set and tonight we watched "Where No Man Has Gone Before." When Gary Mitchell materializes a headstone for Kirk in the episode's climax, it reads "James R. Kirk" instead of "James T."
Did the show not have a bible at that point? Or is it a goof? Or maybe Gary just got it wrong -- having phenomenal cosmic power doesn't mean you can't make phenomenal cosmic typos, I guess!
PS: Yes, she's amazing at finding continuity glitches. She does have a degree in cinematography, after all.
