*bangs on monitor*
Argh! Be fixed already!
*breaks down into rather pathetic whimpers*
Please ... somebody ... deliver me from static pinups on white backdrops ... and badly drawn spooge. -.-
-The Gneech, looking for inspiration
PS: Actually, let's add a real post to this. I was in a purely "ars gratia artis" mood tonight, after the way work's been such a pain the past couple of weeks, so I thought I'd start noodling around on ideas for the AnthroCon con book. I have one already-finished piece in mind to submit that plays off of Peter Laird being the GOH (i.e., it pokes fun at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), but I wanted to come up with a good piece that used the "heroes" theme of the con, too.
Of course, lots of people are going to go with the heartstring-tuggery of fire and rescue teams, police, soldiers in Iraq, that kind of thing. Others will probably go with superhero spoofs ("MacroMan!" I can see it now). I would like to come up with something that's not quite so obvious, which is why I was looking for inspiration.
Unfortunately, none of the places that I tried were up to the task. So ... I'll keep on trying, I guess.
In other news, the Van Helsing platform game, based on the demo level I tried tonight, is weak.
