Another Random Gaming Post

A d20 Modern module is under construction for E-Tools. Yeah, baby! Among other things, that should make my desired Crimson Skies-based campaign a lot more feasible! But it's not ready yet.

What is ready, is that all of the 3.0 products have finally been converted to 3.5 for E-Tools, based on the WotC conversion guidelines. And since, some time back, I bought the WotC 3.5 Megapack, this meant that I could finally download and install E-Tools information for aaaaallllll those 3.0 books on my shelf, including (but not limited to) Oriental Adventures, Savage Species, and Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil (mwuuhahahahaha). It also meant that they'd patched the problems with the Expanded Psionics Handbook, making it much easier for me to go forward with my evil plans create unique new challenges. There is a particular type of psionic encounter that I've wanted to include in my campaign for some time, but have been too lazy to sit down and figure out with pencil and paper. I may just rearrange some of my plans for the next couple of scenarios based on all these new resources!

The drawback to all this, of course, is that the updates overwrote my database (as they always do), meaning that my custom feats, spells, and monsters got hosed (again). However, since most of these were kludgey versions of things from my 3.0 books, this isn't too much of a hardship. I'll also have to recreate characters, both my own (Theran for jamesbarrett's game, NPCs from my game), and Laurie's, which will take a bit more work, but can be done on an as-needed basis. I do have a backup copy of the old version of E-Tools, data included, and can easily snag the old info.

So ... much cool funness. :) I gotta say, I love E-Tools!
